Temporary Nanny + Family Support | Arlington, TX 76001

A family in Arlington, TX (76001) is seeking a warm, dependable, and proactive nanny to provide daytime support as they settle in with their new baby. Baby is due August 27th, and the position will run from September 14th through October 9th, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM at $30/hour.

This role is a blend of newborn care and general family support. The nanny will assist with caring for the baby during the day while also helping Mom as she continues to recover postpartum. The family would love someone who naturally looks for ways to make the household run more smoothly, whether that means running an errand, completing Amazon returns, grocery shopping, picking up household necessities, tidying and resetting baby areas, or stepping in wherever an extra set of hands would be helpful. The goal is to give Mom meaningful support during those early postpartum weeks rather than limiting the position strictly to childcare.

The family will also have a team of Newborn Care Specialists providing overnight care from 9:00 PM–7:00 AM, seven nights per week. Because several caregivers will be working together, the ideal nanny will be highly collaborative and comfortable following the routines, feeding plans, sleep foundations, and recommendations being established by the NCS team. Strong communication and consistency between daytime and overnight care will be especially important.

The family currently plans to transition to a full-time nanny after October 9th, with a younger family member who recently graduated from college stepping into that position. They understand that transitioning a family member into a professional full-time nanny role may or may not ultimately be the right fit, so there is potential for this position to become a long-term opportunity depending on how that arrangement develops. Candidates should primarily be comfortable committing to the September 14th–October 9th dates while being open to a longer-term conversation if the need arises.
