For over a decade, Yessenia has been the compassionate, non judgmental presence families (and Harmony admin team) rely on - from toddler tantrums to newborn nights, she’s seen it all.
Meet Yessenia!

Yessenia Dickinson, a Newborn Care Specialist and Hiring Manager for Harmony Baby Concierge. Yessenia has been in the childcare industry for 13 years, specializing in newborns for the last 3 years. She decided to focus on newborns because, in her words, loves being a baby’s “safe space”, and providing crucial education to a newborn’s wellbeing. Yessenia’s education consists of both foundational and advanced training through Newborn Care Solutions. Along with her education and nanny experience, Yessenia can bring an empathetic, flexible, and non judgmental presence to your household.

Q. What is your main goal when supporting families?
- A. To provide education on all things baby and help them have a smooth transition into parenthood.
Q. What are your beliefs surrounding infant and early childhood sleep and routines?
- A. Sleep and routines are everything!
Q. For new parents who are struggling with sleep deprivation, what advice would you give them?
- A. Well first, I would try to figure out the root of why they can’t sleep and then provide advice from there. But if it’s a mom who is anxious about their baby not getting enough breastmilk from breastfeeding I would refer her to an IBCLC who can give her some peace of mind with a weighted feed.
Q. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a new nanny working with babies?
- A. If you have a baby who is really upset, take them outside (depending on weather) and it makes all the difference.

Q. What are the most important factors in determining a good fit between yourself and a prospective family?

A. It’s fine, I’m fine, everything’s fine - because with 2 kids that are homeschooled and in multiple activities, a toddler and 2 full time working parents, it seems like there is always something or multiple things going on or going wrong.

A. When I have longer contracts and I end up having time in the evening with the baby before bed and they talk to me. Makes my heart melt everytime.

Yessenia’s goal is to provide education on all things baby and help them have a smooth transition into parenthood.
