🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Meet Your Future Family!

Are you a nurturing, proactive, and development-minded nanny who loves helping little ones reach their milestones while keeping a busy household running smoothly? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where teamwork, creativity, consistency, and a genuine love for children are at the heart of everything you do? Harmony Baby Concierge is seeking an exceptional nanny to join a warm, active family with five wonderful children, including infant twins! This is an exciting opportunity for a nanny who loves the baby stage, understands infant routines and sleep training, and is equally comfortable jumping into a game of LEGOs, organizing an imaginative craft, or heading outside for an afternoon of play with the older children. This family is looking for more than someone to simply manage the day; they want a true partner in their children's growth and development—someone who can anticipate needs, take initiative, collaborate closely with Mom and the family's existing nanny, and help create a happy, structured, and loving environment for all five children. The primary focus will be the 6-month-old twins, supporting their developmental milestones, maintaining consistent routines, and reinforcing their established sleep-training plan. As the family's needs evolve, the ideal nanny will also build meaningful relationships with the older children and confidently step in wherever an extra set of hands is needed. This is a wonderful fit for a nanny who is organized yet playful, confident yet collaborative, and passionate about helping children become kind, capable, curious, and well-rounded little humans!

What You'll Be Doing

🍼 Twin Care & Development

  • ● Provide attentive, nurturing, developmentally appropriate care for 6-month-old twins.

    ● Support age-appropriate milestones through floor play, tummy time, interactive games, sensory exploration,

    and other engaging developmental activities.

    ● Maintain the twins' daily schedule, including feeds, naps, wake windows, and transitions.

    ● Consistently reinforce the family's established sleep-training approach and help protect the twins' sleep

    routines.

    ● Observe developmental progress and communicate updates, questions, and observations with Mom and the

    family's existing nanny.

    ● Keep bottles, feeding supplies, and baby equipment clean, sanitized, and organized according to family

    protocols.

🎨 Big Kid Fun & Development

Although the twins will be your primary focus, this role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children of different ages and can confidently pivot when the older children need support.

Expect plenty of opportunities to get creative, get outside, and make everyday moments meaningful!

● Plan imaginative arts and crafts, building projects, sensory activities, and hands-on games.

● Encourage the children to explore, create, problem-solve, and use their imaginations.

● Enjoy outdoor play, soccer practice, water-slide fun, and other age-appropriate activities.

● Support early literacy, including encouraging the 6-year-old to read and helping the children develop

age-appropriate academic and life skills.

● Assist with homework, school transitions, and getting ready for activities as needed.

● Help the children practice sharing, taking turns, using kind words, respecting boundaries, and cleaning up

after themselves.

● Foster independence, confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning.

● Maintain a screen-free

🤝 A True Parenting Partner

Mom & Dad are highly involved and want a nanny who enjoys working collaboratively rather than operating inisolation. You'll work alongside Mom and the family's current nanny to keep routines consistent and ensure each child receives the attention they need.

● Communicate openly and proactively with Mom & Dad about the children's routines, development, behavior,

and daily needs.

● Work cohesively with the existing nanny to divide responsibilities, share information, and maintain

consistency.

● Follow the parents' approach to discipline, boundaries, manners, and household expectations.

● Reinforce positive behavior while confidently addressing challenging moments in an age-appropriate,

respectful way.

● Jump in with whichever children need support, whether that means caring for the twins while Mom spends

time with an older sibling or helping manage a busy afternoon of school pickups and activities.

● Be flexible, observant, and solution-oriented, anticipating what would help the family most throughout the

day.

The family wants someone who can be a supportive extension of Mom — helping her stay connected and hands-on

with each child without feeling stretched too thin.

🏡 Light Household & Child-Related Support

This home has two full-time housekeepers, so this is not a heavy housekeeping position. However, the family values a nanny who takes ownership of the children's spaces and understands that a well-organized environment helps everyone thrive.

Responsibilities include:

● Keeping playrooms, play areas, and children's spaces tidy and functional.

● Cleaning up after activities and encouraging the children to participate in age-appropriate cleanup.

● Managing baby-related dishes, bottles, feeding supplies, and sanitizing routines.

● Helping rotate toys, children's clothing, and developmental materials as needed.

● Restocking diapers, wipes, baby supplies, and other child-related essentials.

● Keeping children's belongings organized and helping prepare for school, outings, and activities.

● Working as part of a larger household team alongside the parents, existing nanny, housekeepers, and house

manager. A proactive, team-oriented mindset is essential. The goal is to keep the children's routines and spaces running smoothly without duplicating the housekeepers' responsibilities.

A Typical Day

No two days will look exactly alike, and the nanny should be comfortable adapting as the family's needs change. Most days will involve caring for two to four children rather than all five at once.

A typical day may include:

● Morning: Arrive at 7:00 AM, connect with Mom and the existing nanny, review the twins' routines, and help

the household get off to a smooth start.

● School transitions: Assist with the children's morning routines and coordinate around school departures

and arrivals as needed.

● Midmorning: Focus on the twins' developmental play, feeding, naps, and sleep schedule while helping with

an older sibling when needed.

● Afternoon: Support the twins' next wake window and naps, assist with school pickups or activities as

assigned, and engage the older children in creative play, reading, outdoor fun, or homework.

● Throughout the day: Keep child-related spaces organized, communicate updates, and coordinate withMom and the existing nanny.

● Evenings, when needed: Occasionally stay later to support the family during a dinner, event, or other commitment, with advance notice whenever possible.

The family's school schedule currently includes the following:

● 6-year-old: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:30 AM–3:00 PM.

● 4-year-old: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:45 AM–2:00 PM.

● 2-year-old: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, approximately 8:15 AM–11:30 AM. The schedule is expected

to expand to five school days next year.

● Twins: Currently home with their caregivers; they are expected to attend school two days per week next year.

The family also has regular extracurricular activities for the older children. The 4-year-old has activities approximately three to four days per week, the 6-year-old has activities on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the 2-year-old attends additional activities on days he is not in school. School and activity schedules may evolve, so flexibility and strong communication are important.

Schedule & Flexibility

The ideal schedule is:

● Monday–Friday: Approximately 7:00 AM–6:00/6:30 PM.

● Occasional evenings: Flexibility to stay until approximately 7:30–8:00 PM when the parents have an event or dinner. The family generally aims to provide about one week's notice.

● Two Saturdays per month: Approximately 8:00 AM–1:00/2:00 PM. The family's greatest need is weekday support, with occasional weekend and evening flexibility being an important part of the position.

Candidates should be comfortable with a schedule that may shift slightly depending on the family's needs, while working with the family and house manager to establish clear expectations around hours and scheduling.

Travel With the Family ✈️

Travel is a required part of this position, and the nanny should genuinely enjoy supporting a family on the go.

The family typically spends approximately three to four weeks in San Diego during the summer, and the nanny will be expected to travel for at least part of that time, coordinating coverage with the family's other nanny. The family also typically spends five to six days in San Diego around Thanksgiving and may take an annual cruise. Separate accommodations are expected for the nanny during cruise travel. Travel arrangements, schedules, and compensation expectations should be discussed and documented in advance.

Parenting Philosophy & Family Values

This family is intentional about raising children who are kind, respectful, imaginative, confident, and grounded in strong traditional values. They are looking for a nanny who understands the importance of consistency and who will reinforce the parents' approach to discipline, manners, boundaries, and personal responsibility.

The ideal candidate will:

● Model integrity, kindness, respect, and excellent manners.

● Teach children to clean up after themselves, respect others, and take responsibility for age-appropriate tasks.

● Feel comfortable following the parents' established discipline approach, including appropriate consequences and time-outs when consistent with the family's expectations and the children's developmental needs.

● Encourage imaginative, active, screen-free play.

● Support the family's Catholic faith and conservative family values. The nanny does not need to be religious but must be comfortable respecting and fostering the family's values in the children's everyday lives.

● Recognize that children thrive when caregivers communicate, work together, and maintain consistent expectations. The family values a nanny who can be warm and playful while also providing confident, thoughtful structure.

Your Team & Communication

You will be joining an established household team. Mom is actively involved in the children's daily lives and will communicate regularly about routines, expectations, and how things are going. You'll work closely with her and the existing nanny to ensure everyone is aligned. The family also has a house manager who oversees household operations, including scheduling, hours, and PTO, and serves as a point of contact for significant job-related feedback and administrative matters. The best candidate will appreciate an environment where feedback is welcomed, communication is direct and respectful, and everyone works toward the same goal: helping the children thrive while supporting the family as a whole.

Compensation & Benefits

● Hourly rate: $35–45/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

● Yearly Comp: ($100,000-140,000+, depending on final schedule + overtime)

● Paid vacation: Two weeks.

● Paid sick time: Approximately three to five days, with flexibility for additional consideration when illness is contracted from the children.

● Health stipend: Potentially available; details to be discussed.

● Employment structure: The family is committed to formal employment practices, including a written work agreement and appropriate household payroll and overtime arrangements. Specific terms, guaranteed hours, overtime, travel compensation, and benefits will be clarified during the hiring process and formalized in the work agreement.

Who Will Thrive in This Role?

We'd love to meet a nanny who:

● Has substantial professional infant experience, ideally including twins.

● Understands infant sleep routines and has experience consistently implementing a family's sleep-training

plan.

● Has a strong foundation in early childhood development and enjoys helping children reach their milestones.

● Is confident caring for multiple children across different developmental stages.

● Is playful, creative, energetic, and genuinely enjoys getting down on the floor to play.

● Is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing routines in a busy household.

● Can confidently support age-appropriate discipline and consistently reinforce family expectations.

● Communicates clearly and works beautifully alongside parents and other caregivers.

● Is flexible, dependable, and comfortable with occasional later evenings, twice-monthly Saturdays, and family travel.

● Understands the importance of discretion, professionalism, and being a positive role model.

● Wants to build a long-term, collaborative relationship with a family that is highly invested in its children's growth. Professional references, relevant childcare experience, and current infant/child CPR and First Aid certification are strongly preferred.
